This is not exactly 1860 cavalry saber but a hybrid of 1860 heavy cavalry saber and 1840 saber but i see no problem.
My saber came with a well tempered and with a very sharp blade.
Its blade is polished to a mirror shine. It was properly sharpened so only the 1st 1/2 for the blade was for cutting or stabbing. The latter half of the blade is thick and not sharpened to be used for parry.
The look is maybe not too fancy but feel is awesome.
The saber is definitely not a fancy wall hanger but a true saber ready for a real fight.
