Khopesh sword history
The Egyptian Khopesh first became popular around 3000 BC when Upper and Lower Egypt were first united under one Pharaoh. From then on it was an important weapon in the Egyptian foot soldier’s arsenal. Originally made of bronze and later iron, the Khopesh could be sharpened on either side or both. In this case the edge is on the outside curve.
Khpesh sword was used for removal of shild and armor parts of the opponents, Khopesh was also symbol and attribute of majesty, worn by rich and powerful Egyptians. The sword was probably used also for a ritual purposes.

The Khopesh like swords can be seen in Game of Thrones, it is worn by Dothraki warriors.

Manufactured by Deepeeka, this historic replica sword features a high carbon steel blade with a full tang.
Approximate Khopesh sword length is 33″ including handle.
The sword grip is made of wood. Khopes is sold without scabbard.
Khopesh sword is made with a classical blade but also as a version with a blackened blade.
Khopesh from Deepeeka is a reasponably nice replica of the ancient Egyptian sword at a very reasonable price.
I got my sword for display purpose but high carbon steel can be sharpened and sword could be used for cutting.
