Tori Elite katana is an awesome sword under $1000. It is the best combination of sharpness, quality, style, length, and price. In case, you are serious regarding the realms of Japanese sword then you would definitely want to have this in your possession. This is masterpiece that will never disappoint you.
There are several excellent katana out there, but this comes at a fairly reasonable price. It is worth every penny you spend. The balance of this blade is perfect. It is 5 down from the tsuba. At such a balance point it is easy to recover from every swing, quite rapidly without wearing the arms out. The bo-hi that runs the entire length of the sword allows you cut faster through things. It is neither too front heavy, nor too tail heavy.
The steel composition that has been used in forging the blade is exceptional. It uses ASSAB K120 C Swedish steel. It has lesser impurities than all the other steel that comes from country other than Sweden. The tsuka has been wrapped in brown leather. This is not suede or faux leather, but some actual leather. The leather helps you to have a better grip.
There is a crane like design on the pommel that gives an extra touch to the overall look of the sword. However, the diamond patterns that are present on the leather crisscrosses do not have the same shape. This can be slightly annoying for you.
As a matter of fact, the saya of the sword is also a piece of art. The benefit of better grip of this sword is that it is good for performing noto. The saya has been made fingerprint-proof which means that you will not have to be bothered about the smudge marks after a practice session.
