Thaitsuki Roiyaru Sanmai Katana Ivory Review by Chris. Limited edition katana from Thaitsuki forge. Thaitsuki katana reviews on SwordReviews.com.

Overall Length: 41.5″
Blade Length: 29″.
Tsuka: 11.5″.
Weight: 2.5 lbs.
Price: Under $3,000

There are two styles of Thaitsuki Katanas. One is the Maru and the other is the Sanmai. The Maru katanas are forged from a single wheel, but is not made of folded steel. The Maru is the lesser expensive option. Sanmai, on the other hand, is the lesser high-quality katanas which are made from three time folded steel. It provides a hard edge and more durability.
It is the best katana that is available at this price range. The katana also has some silver settings. You will find silver Habaki, Seppa, and flower Menuki. However, the Tsuba of the katana is made up of brass.

The katana has been forged in Koto style. This is an early forging method of the Edo period. It can be disassembled for cleaning purpose. In case, you do follow this process without prior experience, you will not only harm yourself but also risk harming others.
The bo-hi on the blade run down the blade down, partially. The bo-hi is placed for controlling the weight, as well as the balance, past the Tsuba. These are quality pieces which actually warrant the price that is charged for it.

This is my second Thaitsuki katana. The katana is made in two versions: ivory and gold. I picked the ivory one.

The sword came well packed. Its handle was well wrapped in a plastic for its protection.
The sword is sharp with a visible hamon. Katana is a bit heavy but its feel is just awesome.
Fittings are well made.
The katana came with a certificate.
Perfect sword!
